Layth Kanafani- Week 8 (Where Did the Time Go?)

I can’t believe this is the last blog I’ll write from this trip. I know it sounds cliche and dramatic, but it is strange how fast something becomes routine. At the start, everything felt new and slightly overwhelming—now it’s just life. Wake up in Dublin, go to work, hang out with people who’ve somehow gone from strangers to some of the closest friends I’ve made. And now we’re almost done. Because it was our final weekend and our only scheduled free weekend, we figured we might as well end things with a proper getaway. When we got to Dublin we […]

Nathaniel Falcon – Ireland Week 8: The Speed of Time

As we approach the final days of being in Dublin, with full forces and beliefs I can say that I am not ready to go back yet. My experience here has been nothing less than extraordinary and through the friends I have made and the work-experience I have gained, I could not be more grateful. But let’s start on this past Thursday. While I may have procrastinated packing for my Edinburgh flight on Friday morning, I was super excited for my company’s comedy festival outing! Taken place at the Iveagh Gardens, after work everyone had headed down for a couple […]

Ellix Sandhu Week 8: The End

Well, we have reached the end of our time in Dublin. I cannot believe that I have already written eight blogs and lived through eight weeks here. I guess time really flies when you are having fun. I have learned and experienced so much this summer and I could not be more grateful for this opportunity. This week was extremely busy and filled with fun and activities.  On Thursday, my friends and I went to the airport and took a flight to Mallorca, Spain where we checked into a little hotel. Being a 3 minute walk to the beach was […]

Week 8: The Final Days

My brother, my dad, and a close friend were visiting me this weekend. They arrived early Friday morning. We had breakfast at a local cafe, then we went back to UCD to show the dorm and get their stuff situated. We were on the move again, because we had a 2:20 tee time at the Royal Dublin Golf Links. The course was extremely challenging and windy, but we still had a great time playing a true links-style golf course for the first time. After the round, we enjoyed a nice complimentary dinner with a view of the golf course and […]

Week Eight- Time Flies

I can not believe this was the last full week on this trip. This trip has been so amazing and so special. I have learned a lot about myself professionally and personally. This is an experience I will certainly never forget. I am definitely going home a better person than when I left. Even though I can’t wait to see my family and go back to school, leaving Ireland is going to be extremely difficult. This past weekend we took our free weekend trip to Mallorca, Spain. I can confidently say this was the coolest place I have ever been. […]

Max Wilson Week 8: Exploring with an Old Friend

During the last week of my trip, I had plans to explore outside of Ireland. One of my closest friends from home moved to Germany with his family once he graduated from High School. Since flights to Europe are so expensive within the U.S., I took this opportunity of already being here to go visit him. When I landed, he picked me up in their family’s car and drove me to the suburbs of Berlin, where his family lived. We first set off to get some lunch at a Korean barbecue place as well as explore a little bit of […]
