Rayna Tyler Week 8: Trip to Tavira

I cannot believe that our time abroad is coming to a close. It had been such a wonderful experience, and I loved taking this week to relax and reflect. For our free weekend, Lucie, Emilia, Zoe, Kiki and I went to Tavira, Portugal. We were dying to get some sun after being in Dublin for the summer, and the short flight and cheap apartment was enough convincing to take the opportunity to escape Ireland for a bit. From the moment we arrived in Tavira, I knew we’d made the right choice. The town had this perfect mix of old-world charm […]

Week 8: Tour Guide for the Weekend

It’s hard to believe our time in Dublin is almost over. This experience has taught me so much, and I have grown a great deal. I’m incredibly grateful for all the amazing people I’ve met and the friends I’ve made. Over the past weekend, I had a wonderful time filled with fun experiences. I’ve been keeping busy with various projects for my job, but it to take a break and spend time with a friend who came to visit. I picked her up from the airport, and we headed into town for brunch at a cozy spot. Afterward, we walked […]

Emilia Lucas Week 8: Sun, Swimming, and Siyonara!

This weekend, we had an incredible experience traveling outside of Dublin. While I’ve come to love Ireland and all that it has to offer, I’ve been missing the sunshine and yearning for a tan. We knew when booking our trip that it was imperative to get some vitamin D and beach time. We were all so excited to disconnect from our jobs and schoolwork for a few days, something we haven’t gotten the opportunity to do while in Ireland. Thursday afternoon, we made our way to the Dublin airport anticipating the bright weekend ahead. We settled into our apartment just […]

Nick Snyder: Ireland Week 8 – Belgian Grand Prix and the End

My last full week in Ireland was full of a lot more experience at my internship and a weekend trip to another country. I want to first talk about the progress that I’ve made throughout my internship during the eight weeks that I have been in Ireland. I came in with very minimal experience on the background algorithms of AI agents, and I can honestly say that I have learned a lot about problem solving in general. But outside of my internship, this entire trip to Ireland has been quite transformative and helpful for me as a person both culturally […]

Lucie Cahill Week 8: The Final Chapter

I can’t believe this is my last blog post! I’m so sad to be leaving Dublin in just three days, it really flew by. On Thursday, me, Kiki, Emilia, Zoe, and Rayna flew to Portugal for our free weekend. We stayed in Tavira, and it was amazing! We had the best time ever laying out on the beach, tanning, swimming, and exploring the town. It felt so good to get out of the city and enjoy the warm weather. On Saturday, we drove to Albufeira to check out the caves. It was about a fifty minute car ride, but totally […]

Tennyson Kelly: Bucknell in Dublin Week 8 – That’s a Wrap

As my time in Dublin comes to a close, I cannot fully express how great of an experience this trip was. What seemed would be a long two months in the beginning actually flew by in the blink of an eye. From seeing amazing sights, learning all about Ireland, taking courses, and partaking in a global internship, I can say that this trip was amazing. The weekend trips were definitely my favorite parts of the trip. From seeing the cliffs of Moher, visiting Galway, and Northern Ireland, among other locations, I can say I have pretty much visited the majority […]
