Layth Kanafani: First Few Days in Ireland

We landed in Dublin on Saturday, June 7th, at around 8:30 in the morning. After a smooth customs/baggage claim process which lasted 30 minutes at most, the very first thing my friends and I did was head straight to the airport bar for our first legal drink. I observed a different way to approach conflict rather than the way we do it back home. Instead of immediately stepping in to be the mediators in the arguments between children, here they […]

Kayla Cullinane: Ireland Week 1 (Craic, Class, & Chaos!)

This is my first week here in Dublin, Ireland and so far everything has been nothing but amazing…well except for the flight over. After a multiple hour delay my flight took off and after what felt like the longest 6 hours of my life, my plane landed and I was finally here! Although I have been to Ireland multiple times in the past, this experience is new for me and has truly allowed me to feel immersed in the culture in such a short amount of time. After settling into my room in the flat I am living in I […]
