Ellix Sandhu: Week 2 in Dublin: Getting the hang of it!

During week 2 in Dublin, I started to get the hang of things. Over the weekend, we took a trip to Kilkenny and got a tour of a massive castle, filled with art and restored to as close to the original as possible. I thought this was really cool and interesting, and personally would love to live in such a big castle. After the tour, I walked to a cathedral and was able to get some great pictures. We then went to a local pub for some food before getting back on the bus and heading to Wicklow for our […]

Price Wilson: Week 2 – Adventures in Ireland

Another week has gone by here in Dublin, and I think it is safe to say that I am starting to settle in. This past week has been so much fun and at the same time pretty tiring. Wednesday night, we had a group dinner at a restaurant called The Little Kitchen and it was delicious. It was still light out when we finished eating (I swear the sun just doesn’t set here) so we all decided to hit the town and see what the pubs had in store.  On Friday, my friends and I got tickets to go see […]

Anthony Bell – Ireland Week 2: Learning About Ireland’s History

Finishing week two in Ireland, I am very excited for the rest of the summer, more so than I was upon arrival. Now that I have had time to settle into my living situation and grocery shopping, I am very much enjoying the atmosphere and environment of Dublin and am so grateful for this abroad experience. I have learned so much about Irish history, their culture, and have loved meeting and getting to know the people I am working with at my internship. I am very grateful for the opportunity to learn about the history of Ireland and how the […]

Brad Gerken Ireland Week 2: Great people, Beautiful Sights and The Typical Irish Weather

As week 2 in Ireland comes to an end, I’ve gained more experience than I could have hoped all while exploring new sights and discovering new things. Gaining work experience at Quantmatix has been fantastic and my coworkers have been giving me great recommendations on how and where to spend my time in Ireland. I have had plentiful conversations about sports, restaurants, attraction’s and much more and it seems like each day I walk into the office at least one person has found a new thing I should go and experience. Aside from our discussion about everything besides work, it […]

Kayla Cullinane: Ireland Week 2 (From Grafton to Glendalough)

I’m back again to share more of my fun adventures from my second week here in Ireland! Since my last blog, I’ve had the chance to settle in and explore new places around me including Grafton Street, Kilkenny, and Glendalough. Walking down Grafton Street is one of my favorite ways to spend my time here. I love stopping to listen to the live music on the streets and wander into new stores I haven’t hear of before. Last week on Wednesday I went into Dublin city during the day and spent a lot of time in St. Stephens Green which […]

Tennyson Kelly, Ireland Week 2: Lots of History!

Week two in Dublin has been lots of fun so far! This past week has taken me on many journeys that I never want to forget. My internship has been going very smoothly, and I am starting to feel very welcome in the office and around my coworkers. They make sure to keep me busy, but the work is neither demanding nor too challenging. While I’m doing my work, I enjoy listening to how the solicitor (Irish term for a lawyer) talks to clients over the phone and how he converses with other lawyers. I am learning a great deal […]
