Nick Snyder: Ireland Week 2 – Interning and Sightseeing

My second week in Dublin was all that I hoped it to be and more. To start, I was finally able to go into the office at my internship on Friday with Think Biosolution since my boss and coworkers had returned from their conference. The bus ride was around 50 min but then I had to walk 13 min from the stop to the actual office building. It was a good thing though that my fellow Bucknell friend Colin is also interning at Think Biosolution, so it made navigating to the office that much easier. We arrived at 10 AM […]

Week 2: Dublin Blog

Working at Happythreads, in Dublin, Ireland, has been very educational and exciting. I’ve been learning about new marketing techniques, specifically working on the website and SEO. I’ve been settling into my workplace and my position in the company; the only downside is my long commute, where I have to take two buses to get there, and it typically takes me an hour and 15 minutes. On Saturday, we went to Kilkenny, where we visited Kilkenny Castle. The castle was renovated to make it almost identical to its original appearance. The castle was beautiful and had a lot of history, so […]

Rayna Tyler Week 2: Coding Extravaganza

My second week in Dublin ushered the oppurtunity for me to truly delve into my work. Interning at a tech startup has been even better than I expected it to be, and I am so grateful to be given tasks that challenge me intellectually and improve my technical skills. As a RevOps intern, my current project is doing data hygine on the company’s CRM. The majority of the project is mitigating the presence of duplicate records, such as two instances of the same company or contact point. Although it wasn’t what I anticipating to be doing, I have genuinely love […]

Norah Wolff: Week 2 – Working and Wandering

Within such a short period of time, it is incredible to see what has been accomplished in the period of time since I reached Dublin on June 7th. Entering my second week at Elevate PR as a Public Relations Intern, I have become increasingly comfortable with my colleagues who have been nothing but patient, responsive, and helpful. In the all-women office, we are never short of conversation. Sometimes, it is about the most recent event organized by the agency, but other times, it’s  the newest TikTok trend that connects us. I truly have already learned so much about the PR […]

Emilia Lucas Week 2: End of Adjustment

My second week in Dublin has been even more incredible than the first. I’ve had such an easy time adjusting to Dublin, even though I’ve never lived and commuted in a city before. I’m beginning to love the routine I’ve fallen into during the week. I thrive in environments that are structured, so things as little as waking up at the same time, getting on the same bus, and returning from work at the end of the day each day has become comfortable and is no longer confusing.  My job seemed daunting last week, as I’m working for a relatively […]

Week Two- Teaching and Traveling

My second week in Dublin was filled with new experiences, both through traveling outside Dublin and my internship. With each day here I feel more and more at home. Whether it’s the people or the experiences I know it’s going to be very hard for me to leave. Even though it is only the second week here, I feel like time is moving so quick, and don’t want to even think about it being over. I continued this week at my internship. I’m beginning to feel more confident in my role and am creating amazing connections with the children and […]
