Lucie Cahill Week 3: Galway!

I had a great weekend on the West Coast of Ireland. On Friday morning, we got up early and left to go see the Cliffs of Moher. It was gorgeous, and I loved walking alongside the cliffs. After, we kept driving and went to a picture spot on the coast. The water was beautiful. We arrived in Galway and went to the Claddagh store. My roommates and I all got claddagh rings as our souvenirs. Then, we got to our hostel which was not as exciting. We were all tired and hungry and the hostel was hot and filled with […]

Week Three-Cliffs and Castles

This weekend was my favorite part of the trip so far. We went out west to Galway and did so much just in a few days. The first thing we did in Galway was to visit the Cliffs of Moher. I’d seen pictures before, and heard of how beautiful it was, but nothing compares to being there and seeing it with my own eyes. It was a little windy, but it was perfect weather. We even got to witness a proposal at the top of the cliffs which was so special and such a cool place to propose! We also […]

Kayla Cullinane: Ireland Week 3 (Galway Getaway)

Another amazing week here in Ireland has just passed and I feel so grateful for all of the amazing experiences I’ve had and everything I have seen. I am enjoying my internship and gaining valuable experience working with individuals who struggle with substance abuse. This past weekend we took an amazing trip to Galway where we had a packed schedule but I loved every minute of it! Beginning on Friday, we started at the Cliffs of Moher. This is one of the most amazing views I have ever seen and we had the perfect weather this day with temperatures above […]

Riley Bossick Week 3: Matcha Green as Ireland

I feel like this week flew by so fast. Our three day trip to Galway was jam packed with so much to do and I honestly don’t know where to start. Waking up for the ride to Galway was definitely rough, but to be honest I slept for most of the ride. When I woke up for our halfway stop I was definitely not expecting to be at the Barack Obama Plaza. Once we got to the Cliffs of Moher I was awestruck. I would have spent the whole day just looking over the cliffs if we could. I sent […]

Week 3 in Dublin: Galway: The Trip That Changed Everything

If there is one location that has deeply changed my understanding of beauty, spontaneity, and human relationships, that place is Galway. I was there three days this week, and I can honestly attest that it is one of the most stunning places I have ever enjoyed visiting—despite my years living in different countries and states. With its rich culture, open sea vistas, and the forged unplanned friendships, Galway became more than a place to visit; it was a highlight of my whole experience living abroad. In complete honesty, the holiday had started in a pretty unglamorous way. Initially, I was […]

Week 3: Galway

Early Friday morning, we set off to the cliffs of Moehr. After a very hot bus ride, we arrived and spent the early afternoon walking along the cliffs of Moehr and enjoying the amazing views. After that, we headed down to a pub where we got to relax with a nice drink and enjoy some chicken wings. We made a short stop at the Burren, which was surprisingly very cool, and it was nice to hop around the rocks and enjoy the view. We then headed to our hostel, where we were staying the night. After grabbing a few essentials […]
