Kate Stein Week 3: Escapades on the West Coast

This past weekend I had an amazing time travelling on the West Coast of Ireland. This adventure was very eventful and interesting, and I especially enjoyed exploring Galway. I appreciated both the scheduled events and wandering around during free time. After arriving at the hostel, my roommates and I set out to explore the town and grab dinner. A few of us opted for pizza, while a couple others tried something new to me — “a spice bag,” which I had never heard of before. Later that evening, we visited a few pubs and enjoyed the local nightlife. The Cliffs […]

Anthony Bell – Ireland Week 3: New Adventures on the West Coast!

This week marks the third week in Ireland, and I am so grateful for the packed weekend we had on the West Coast. I experienced so many natural wonders, explored many cool places, and had an absolute blast with friends. Every day I grow more and more grateful for this abroad experience as I am seeing and experiencing things I have never imagined and learning so many things about myself and the world. Immersing myself in Irish culture and the beautiful landscapes across the West Coast has been an absolute adventure.  This past Friday I had the privilege of visiting […]

Rayna Tyler Week 3: Cliff Notes from the West Coast

Can’t believe it is already week three in Ireland! This weekend, we took a trip to the West Coast, staying in Galway and exploring some of the stunning scenery the region has to offer. We started our journey by stopping at the Cliffs of Moher, and the weather did not disappoint. For the first time since arriving, the sun was out and beaming, making it the most perfect day to walk along the cliffs and see the beautiful blue Atlantic Ocean below. I’ve heard a lot about how breathtaking the cliffs are, but seeing them in person was something else […]

Nick Snyder: Dublin Week 3 – The Irish West Coast

My third week in Dublin was full of a lot of cool sights and adventures. It was highlighted by our weekend 3 day trip to the west coast of Ireland and specifically, Galway. It began with a 6:50 AM bus ride from UCD straight to the Cliffs of Moher. Some people believe that the cliffs are one of the best sights to see in Ireland, and I would agree as they were breathtaking. Even during the 3 hour bus ride to the cliffs, the scenery in the countryside of Ireland was quite beautiful. After seeing the Cliffs for a couple […]

Gideon Daniels – Week 3: Weekend in the Wild West

This week, we took our first long-weekend trip of the program, to the West Coast of Ireland. It felt more like a traditional vacation than our time in Dublin has been, packed with activities every day to try to see all of the most important spots in the area and discovering great food across the city of Galway where we stayed, as opposed to the more normal-life schedule of Dublin with internships and class meetings and the need to minimize expenses as much as possible, meaning not going out as much. Being able to sightsee and visit all of these […]

Zoe Bertram: Ireland Week 3 (An exhausting but exciting weekend!)

I was completely wiped out after this past weekend, but it was definitely the best one yet! Early Friday morning, we loaded up the bus and set off for Galway, with a stop at the Cliffs of Mohre along the way. The weather was gorgeous, and the cliffs were breathtaking. After a long drive, it felt amazing to finally stretch our legs and walk along the edge of such an iconic landscape. We hopped back on the bus and made a quick picture stop at The Burren, where my friends and I took some great pictures among the rocks. When […]
