Week 4: Ruins and Gardens

I’ve now completed most of my training at work and have started receiving more diverse assignments beyond just filing paperwork. This shift has been exciting, especially because I’ve been able to apply my 3D modeling skills to real projects. I’ve already submitted some proposed design changes for review, which feels like a meaningful step forward. As my internship at Prodieco continues, I’m optimistic that I’ll keep learning and taking on greater responsibilities. Outside of work, I spent the weekend visiting several historic ruins across Ireland. Our first stop was the Rock of Cashel, and it left a powerful impression. The […]

Justin Lee Week 3: Guiding through Galway

In class this week, we studied abortion rights in Ireland and America. My group and I read through one specific court case, and it caused a lot of thoughtful consideration. It made me realize how much different the cultural and legal context here is when it comes to abortion and how recent some of the changes have been. It opened my eyes to the social and political truths of Ireland and made me aware of how laws reflect shifting values. On the weekend, I traveled to Galway, and it was definitely my favorite experience on the trip. We took a […]

Emilia Lucas Week 3: Oh sheep!

Our first overnight trip outside of Dublin to Galway was incredible! I was giddy all week last week to escape my job for an extra day to travel to the west coast. Truthfully, I enjoyed Galway much more than I had anticipated, and even more than I have been enjoying Dublin thus far. Following a rough wake up on Friday morning and sleeping on the way to the Cliffs of Mohr, I awoke to the beautiful greenery and oceanside view of the west coast. The Cliffs of Mohr were incredible to see in front of me, but I much more […]

Richard Perez, Ireland: Week 3 – From Coast To Coast!

I had another amazing weekend trip! For our journey to Western Ireland, we first made our way to the cliffs of Moher, which is all the way on the other side of Ireland. It was breath-taking seeing the size and distance of the cliffs, and all the birds flying over the sea looked like gnats. It was truly an amazing sight to behold! Afterwards, we went to the Boren which is another cliff site, but riddled with limestone. It was yet another amazing view and we had a fun time there. After all the sight-seeing on day 1, we retired […]

Colin Caricato- Ireland Week 3: A nice getaway to Galway

Week three in Dublin has been the most action packed week yet, and I have so much I want to tell you. This week, we traveled beyond Dublin and visited several incredible sights, including the Cliffs of Moher, Kylemore Abbey, Inish Mór, the Aran Islands, and most notably, Galway. The bus rides were filled with something I both love and desperately need: sleep. Although I occasionally was woken up by another Colin, the tour guide for our trip, his commentary made the interruptions worth it. As we traveled to Galway, Colin gave us an overview of Irish history and delved […]

Tennyson Kelly: Ireland Week 3 – Sightseeing around the Country

Week 3 in Ireland was jam-packed with activities and loads of fun. Week 2 ended with a short week in the office, as we took Friday off to begin our trip to Galway. The bus ride to Galway took around 3 hours; however, I slept through the entire ride. Once we arrived in Galway, the fun began. We first stopped at the Cliffs of Moher, which were beautiful. It was so high up and I felt as if I were on top of the world looking out into the vast ocean. Then, we made a quick stop at The Burren, […]
