Week 4: Guinness > Fear of Heights

This past weekend in Dublin, we visited Blarney Castle, and it was quite an experience. I was not expecting the line to be so long. I don’t typically have a fear of heights, but it was slightly daunting being up that high. I was also too scared to kiss the Blarney Stone. However, the architecture of the castle was beautiful and well worth the visit.   After, I got a ham and cheese quiche, and later, Riley and I went to McDonald’s. I enjoyed European McDonald’s— it uses healthier ingredients than American McDonald’s. I could definitely tell the difference. I got […]

Max Wilson: Week 4 – Stories, Movies, and Music

This week started with a bang, as we jumped right into our first event on Thursday. That evening, we made our way to the Stag’s Head, a historic pub, where we attended their folklore and fairies night. The atmosphere was lively and filled with stories, giving us a unique glimpse into Irish culture and myth. The following night, I had the chance to spend time with my coworkers outside of our usual work environment. We had a lovely office dinner together, which was followed by a fun night out for drinks in Dublin. It was such a refreshing experience to […]

Price Wilson: Dublin Week 4 – Halfway Through

Another week has passed in Ireland, and that means it is time for a new blog! This week has been just as much fun as the past three weeks, and it is crazy to think about how half of my time here has been spent.  Starting with my internship, everything has been going pretty smoothly. Last Thursday, I finally got my LEGO AFM machine up and running which made me super excited. I thought it would mean I could finally move onto the outreach portion of my assignment. Sadly, the very next day the gears stopped turning. I spent the […]

Norah Wolff: Week 4 – Stone Kissing to Cold Plunging

After wrapping up another productive week, I’m heading into week four with enthusiasm and curiosity for what experiences it holds. Transparently, the weeks are beginning to blur a bit; in the best way, it feels like I have been here for months, but I also can’t believe how quickly the weeks have gone by when I reflect on our time here. My work week was pretty standard as I have gotten into a schedule of what is to be expected of me. Typically what is requested of me includes drafting press releases, finding client coverage, fulfilling PR packages and more […]

Layth Kanafani: Week 4 (Castles & the Otherworld)

I can’t believe it’s already almost the halfway point of our time here in Dublin. My internship has been going great, they gave me a project to work on alone and I feel like I have learned so much in just the two weeks that I’ve been here. Apart from my internship, this last week has been quite the rollercoaster. The events started with the Irish Folklore and Fairies at the Stag’s Head Pub on Thursday, followed by group dinner. Thursday was a lot of fun because we were all able to leave our internships early and it was nice […]

Nathaniel Falcon – Ireland Week 4: The Place To Be!

Good afternoon everyone! As week 4 comes to an end, there is without a doubt that I am definitely coming back to visit Dublin again! The scenery is unmatched and the experience is like no other! But, as always, lets dive into what has happened this week. Just kidding! Lets dive into some recommendations from me to you! Over the weekend we had visited three locations, The Rock of Cashel, Blarney Castle & Gardens, and Cahir Castle. If you are between the three and only have time to choose one, I would say definitely say to go to Blarney Castle […]
