Zoe Bertram: Ireland Week 6 (Quick trip to Austria!)

This week looked a bit different for me! I flew to Austria early Thursday morning to meet up with my dad and brother in Vienna. They had been traveling through Switzerland and Austria, and their itinerary happened to coincide perfectly with a weekend when I could miss our group activity. Although Gaelic games seemed fun to watch, I’ll admit I was relieved to miss out. I would be terrified if I were thrown onto a sports field with a helmet and a stick. Luckily, I had the chance to travel to Austria instead! I arrived in Vienna around 11 a.m. […]

Ellix Sandhu: Week 6 in Dublin

The days are flying by! I can’t believe that this is already the sixth blog that I am writing this summer. This week was more relaxed than the previous, but was definitely one of my favorites. On Thursday, we all met up at the Irish House Party for some dinner, drinks, and a show. The food was good, and we got to hear some traditional Irish music accompanied by dancing. We had no events scheduled for Saturday, but my roommate Aidan had one of his friends from home visiting, so we went out in the afternoon to show him around […]

Nathaniel Falcon – Ireland Week 6: Gaelic Games: 1, My OC shoes: 0

In no instance did I expect time to move this fast in Ireland, I know we are five hours ahead of EST, but dang! With so many events coming and going, I can not express my gratitude and feeling of pride towards my choice of coming to Ireland. With great luck, I was able to make so many new great friends from different universities, a new family at Financefair, and a whole lot of stories to tell to my friends when I come back home. As always, lets recap my week! Something I have started to appreciate here working in […]

Week 6: Wild Art

This week was not at all what I expected. While the workweek was pretty standard, my Saturday side quest led to some incredible artistic finds along random trails as I wandered around Ireland. This Saturday, I decided to walk from University College Dublin to Tallaght and beyond. While I saw many beautiful parks along the way, the key section that stood out the most was the five miles I spent on the Dodder Trail. I’ll just start by saying it was nothing like I expected. The beginning of the trail was in the city, then dipped briefly into the woods […]

Riley Bossick Week 6: Hillary Clinton Meet and Greet

It’s finally hit me that this trip is almost over, and I’m not ready for it to end soon. Friends and family from home keep asking if I am excited to go back to America… and the answer is no.  I am loving my time on this trip and wish it could be even longer! But this week went by so fast, I couldn’t believe it.  On Thursday I went to grab lunch at the Merion Square Food Market and I will be returning this week again. The park was lined with multiple food trucks offering cuisine from all over […]

Layth Kanafani: Week 6 (Just Busy Enough to Feel Lazy)

Another week has officially gone by and the more I sit around and think about it the more surprised I am at how little time we have left here. This past week started off a little rougher than other weeks, since we didn’t make it back from Northern Ireland till Monday night, it was hard to find time to do laundry, get groceries, and prepare for the work week ahead. Tuesday and Wednesday were rough wake ups for work, but I was motivated to make it through the days since my favorite soccer team (Real Madrid) was playing in the […]
