Norah Wolff: Week 6 – Is Being a Tour Guide My Calling?

This week, I finally broke out of the routine I have prided myself on since Week 1 and it felt like a breath of fresh air. I had taken my first two days off of work for the summer and I was excited to be able to capitalize on a day where there wasn’t anything planned. This past week I also started a micro-internship through Parker Dewey, a program offered back at Bucknell through the Freeman College of Management. It was a quick turnover from submitting an application to meeting with the owner of a nonprofit company looking to aid […]

Nick Snyder: Ireland Week 6 – Working Hard and Playing Games

This past week in Ireland was not as eventful as the past couple, but I still worked hard at my internship and had a fun weekend. I feel like I’ve really gotten into a routine at my internship where I can come in everyday and be efficient with my work. Last week I finished with researching and starting a possible credit card integration feature for my start-up’s AI agent. This week I began my next project, which was researching and trying to integrate multiple languages into our agent in order to make it the best product for some people who […]

Tennyson Kelly: Bucknell in Dublin Week 6 – A Week Full of Sports and Activities

From house parties to Gaelic games, week 6 in Dublin was one that was full of activities!  On Thursday night, we made our way into the city for an Irish House party. We began the night with dinner, which was very good. Following our dinner, we went downstairs to watch the Irish House Party show. The show consisted of traditional Irish Music and dancing. The band was very fun and kept the group engaged. The Irish dancer was also very entertaining, and we were all surprised by how fast she was able to move her feet. We did not have […]

Price Wilson: Dublin Week 6: Haircuts and hard Knocks (Irish Edition)

Looking back, it is crazy to think that I have been here in Ireland for almost 6 full weeks now. Time is passing by so quickly and I feel like before I know it, I’ll be back home enjoying my mom’s cooking and playing with the new puppy she got. But instead of looking ahead, let’s look back at this past week.  The week began with a dinner that was prepaid for and therefore extra delicious at an event labeled in the calendar as “Irish House Party”. When hearing “house party”, you might expect food, music, dancing and mingling, and […]

Sienna Hurd: Week 6 – A Quick Getaway!

Another week in Ireland has passed, and I can’t believe we have less than three weeks left. The office has been a bit slow lately, as many people are on vacation, but I’m continuing to work on my project, and it’s coming along really well. Wednesday was one of the other interns’ last days, and our manager got a cake to celebrate his time at Mental Health Ireland. After work, I took the bus straight to Dundrum for shopping. There were a few things I wanted to get for my weekend trip to Portugal. For some reason, I was very […]

Campbell Coonley: Week 6 – A Weekend in Albufiera

I cannot believe it is already week 6 and we are ¾ of the way through our time here. I continue to enjoy every second and have made so many amazing memories. My internship is still going well – I am continuing to learn new skills and now spend most of my time filing tax returns. I’m sure I will become an expert by the end of the summer! My friends and I continue to enjoy all that downtown Dublin has to offer. I really enjoyed the Irish house party that we attended on Thursday night! The musicians were incredibly […]
