Nathaniel Falcon – Ireland Week 7: The Irish Impulse Shopping Affect

With one more week to go, I do not think I am ready to leave Ireland one bit. The time I have had here so far whether it be exploring Dublin or even just making new friends, it has made my experience so special. In all honesty, I would say this week was more relaxing than the others, actually… on second thought… I’ll get into that later on (HOWTH). As always, lets get into what happened this week. The more time I spend at Financefair, the sadder I get thinking about leaving next week! The company has given me an […]

Week 7: Surrounded by Green

This weekend was so peaceful, and that’s not for lack of activity, but instead because I spent almost the entire weekend in nature. It all began on Friday afternoon, when I finally had the time to walk the entire Dublin Mountains Way. At 42 kilometers, it’s not the longest walk I’ve done while in Ireland, but it was still a solid challenge and, more importantly, the perfect way to unwind after a full work week. I didn’t rush the route and instead allowed myself to slow down and take in everything around me: dense forest trails, rolling hills, and wide […]

Aidan O’Malley: Week 7 (3 days, 3 countries)

What a weekend! This weekend, I woke up early on Friday morning to catch a plane to Munich to visit my friend John. After landing in Munich, I had the full day to myself because John had work. I took the chance to explore freely by trying all the different types of German cuisine. Honestly, some of the best food I have ever tried in my life. Once John was done with work, we walked around Marienplatz and visited churches. Friday night, we went out and I was able to try all the different kinds of German food and beer […]

Riley Bossick Week 7: Sorry Peppa Pig

I’ve come to enjoy writing these blogs every week. It’s like keeping a journal of my time in Dublin that I can look back on years from now. It makes me sad knowing that there’s only one more blog to write after this. I genuinely don’t want this trip to end. Technically, I’m still here for another two weeks since my family is coming to visit, but it won’t be the same. Usually when I write these blogs I look back at all the photos I have taken in the past week and this time around, I was shocked to […]

Brad Gerken Week 7: Bingo is definitely all skill

Drawing my last full week in Ireland to a close, I cannot believe how fast it has all flown by. It felt as if a week ago I was arriving in a new country surrounded by new faces and new culture. I no longer feel out of place walking around town and going about my day in Dublin. I have been fully immersed in all aspects of the culture from work to social. I never expected to be the one giving other people directions around town or what bus to take but it is nice to feel like I belong, […]

Kayla Cullinane: Ireland Week 7 (Pub Nights & Cliff Sights)

I am in disbelief that I am writing my blog for my 7th week in Dublin! I wish time here could slow down! Although the sun rises here around 5:30am and sets around 9:30pm the days never seem long enough to do everything I want to do. Once again I’ve had another incredible week here (I know I say that every week, but it’s true).  This past week my friends and I had some fun nights out at the pub. We went to Disndats, Fitzsimmons, and Ryans. I love listening to the live music while spending time with the amazing […]
