Gideon Daniels – Week 7: Getting in Touch with Nature

This week, we spent most of our time together exploring the natural beauty and landmarks of Ireland, as we visited some of the important hills and tombs of the countryside on Saturday and the cliffs at Howth on Monday. Getting to be in nature and see more of the natural wonders of Ireland was really special. Since I don’t go into nature on walks and hikes very often in the U.S., I have a great appreciation for having that space built into our trip, since it’s not something I would have ever thought to do on my own, but turned […]

Price Wilson: Dublin Week 7 – A Restful Weekend!

At the start of the trip, I never knew that these seven weeks would fly by so quickly. This whole experience has been so incredibly enriching and entertaining. Going into this, we knew that we would have the opportunity to miss out on two trips throughout the summer, with one being a weekend trip and the other being a weekday trip. Up to this point, I had yet to miss a trip and decided to spend both of my skips on the trips this week and weekend. My roommates also decided to skip out on these events so I knew […]

Campbell Coonley: Week 7 – Time Flies When You’re Having Fun!

It’s hard for me to think about the fact that we only have one week left here. Seven weeks ago I arrived in a foreign country with no idea what I was doing, yet now Dublin feels like home. Time really does fly when you’re having fun! My friends and I have definitely been making the most of the little time we have left, so around our busy work schedules, we are constantly exploring downtown, trying new restaurants, and enjoying the pubs. While I am thoroughly exhausted, there is nothing else I would rather be doing. I still feel like […]

Ellix Sandhu Week 7: Relaxation

Wow, what a week. We are so close to the end of our summer in Dublin, and I have experienced just about every different lifestyle imaginable. This weekend was extremely relaxed, as I had a busy week at my internship. My roommates and I decided to use our skip days in order to be able to enjoy our last full weekend in Dublin. We used these days to catch up on some much needed sleep, and to enjoy the weather.  On Friday we decided to try out a couple pubs that we had been wanting to go to, and spent […]

Tennyson Kelly: Bucknell In Dublin Week 7 – Time’s Almost Up

The events of week 7 in Dublin kicked off on Saturday morning when Brad, Max, and I made our way to the Grange Castle Golf Course to play a full round of 18 holes on the beautiful course. We had previously played a round on their 7-hole course, but we were very excited to play on the main course. Although we did not play our best, we had an incredible amount of fun on the course. I was feeling generous, so I gave Max a few of my balls since his golf balls seemed to have a magnet for the […]

Max Wilson: Week 7 – Work, Golf, Repeat

This week was both eventful and relaxing. In the recent weeks at Carraighill, I have been doing some very interesting work helping them update their ETL systems. Although this is a very new and difficult process for me, I enjoy the problem-solving involved and the challenges of an unfamiliar task. Additionally, I am enjoying the opportunity to refine my coding skills and use my computer science skills in an environment outside of the classroom. I think one of my favorite parts about working at Carraighill, however, is the large amount of information that I am learning about banks, the economy, […]
