I cannot believe that our time abroad is coming to a close. It had been such a wonderful experience, and I loved taking this week to relax and reflect. For our free weekend, Lucie, Emilia, Zoe, Kiki and I went to Tavira, Portugal. We were dying to get some sun after being in Dublin for the summer, and the short flight and cheap apartment was enough convincing to take the opportunity to escape Ireland for a bit. From the moment we arrived in Tavira, I knew we’d made the right choice. The town had this perfect mix of old-world charm […]
With only one more week to go, I wanted to visit my favorite place we have been on this trip thus far: Galway. There was no better time than when my family came over from the U.S. and London, as I got to show them the west coast and further explore. Before heading out west, though, my roommates and I had a girl’s night on Wednesday. We went to a Mexican restaurant speakeasy, above a street taco shop. I have never been to a place like it before. It had a very cool, intimate vibe that made it feel like […]

I can’t believe we are getting to the end of our time in Ireland. With few trips left, I am excited to soak in the time we have left in Ireland. This week was a little less active than the last few, which was a nice reset and opportunity to explore more of what Dublin has to offer. Most of my weekdays have been spent coding and creating workflows at work, and resting or doing school work in the evenings. Today, I finally got the workflows to run properly and saw immense progress on our data hygiene efforts. It was […]
Another great weekend trip for the books! On Saturday, we took the bus up to Northern Ireland for a jam-packed few days of museum visits, scenic walks, and historical tours. We started in Belfast, stopping first at the Titanic museum. I was super excited for this first stop, because I have heard raving reviews about this particular Titantic Museum. When I was younger, I had a slight (maybe not so slight) obsession with everything Titantic related. Whether it was books about the individuals on the ship, facts about the event, documentaries, or museums, I could not get enough. The obsession […]
Time is flying by here in Dublin! It is crazy to believe we are already halfway through. This week was definitely the best so far, between touring castles, seeing my favorite band, and going to the Guinness Storehouse. The highlight of my week, without question, was seeing The Backseat Lovers live in concert. They have been my favorite band for a long time, and every time I get the chance to see them perform, it’s truly special. Their sound is incredible on recordings, but hearing them live brings their music to a whole new level. This show was at The National […]
