Galway Trip

Now that I’ve been in Dublin for over two and a half weeks, I’ve learned to know my way aroundthe city. I know which bus routes to take to get to work or Dublin City Center which has made transportation much easier. This past week in Dublin has been very exciting and busy. On Friday, we took a trip to Galway, which is on the west coast of Ireland. The trip to Galway was approximately 2 and a half hours, however, we stopped at the Cliffs of Moher on the way. The Cliffs of Moher were beautiful, to say the […]

Last week in Dublin

As my time in Dublin comes to an end, it’s hard to believe how quickly the past several weeks have gone by. This trip has been an incredible experience, and my final full week here was one of the most memorable yet. On Thursday, Emilia, Lucie, Rayna, Zoe, and I took a trip to Portugal for a long weekend getaway. We stayed in a small town called Tavira, which was beautiful and not overly crowded—a nice change from some of the busier tourist spots nearby. After landing at Faro Airport, we took a 40-minute taxi ride to our hotel, dropped […]

Week 4 in Dublin

This past week in Dublin wasn’t the most exciting, but it was still productive in its own way. On Thursday, I walked to Blackrock after work, grabbed some gelato, and browsed a few shops. It was a nice break in the routine. Later that evening, we went to the Irish Dance Party for dinner, but I had to leave early — I wasn’t feeling well. By the next day, I was still under the weather and decided to work from home. What started as a minor issue turned into a more frustrating one when I developed a bad eye infection. […]

Week in Dublin: Castles, Coastlines, and Catching Up

This past week in Dublin was a good mix of routine, travel, and downtime. Thursday and Friday were typical workdays—after finishing up at Happythreads, I usually headed into the city center for a walk or dinner. Saturday was more eventful with a full-day Celtic Boyne Valley tour. We visited several historical sites including the Hill of Tara, Trim Castle, Loughcrew passage tomb, and the Hill of Uisneach. Most of the tour was outdoors, which made it even better. It was a refreshing way to see more of Ireland’s landscape and history in one day. Afterward, we stopped for lunch and […]

Week four in Dublin.

I’ve been living in Dublin for almost a month now, and my fourth week here was definitely one of the most eventful so far. It was a mix of work, travel, and learning about both Irish history and American traditions. On Friday, the company I’m working for, Happythreads, organized a photo shoot for their new line of scrubs. I spent the whole day helping out with the other interns, and it was really fun to see everything that goes into setting up a professional shoot. From arranging the products to helping with the lighting, there was always something to do, […]

A Week of Family Visits and Dublin Adventures

I’ve been living in Dublin for almost a month, and last week was one of the busiest so far. I traveled, spent time with family, and got back into my usual routine. On Thursday, I took a flight to the Netherlands to visit my family. I arrived that evening and met my parents for dinner. The next day, we drove to my grandfather’s house to celebrate his 85th birthday. It was nice to see everyone together and to mark such a big milestone. After the party, we met up with a family friend for lunch and caught up for a […]
