This past week in Ireland was not as eventful as the past couple, but I still worked hard at my internship and had a fun weekend. I feel like I’ve really gotten into a routine at my internship where I can come in everyday and be efficient with my work. Last week I finished with researching and starting a possible credit card integration feature for my start-up’s AI agent. This week I began my next project, which was researching and trying to integrate multiple languages into our agent in order to make it the best product for some people who might not speak English or have it as their first language. I found out what was possible in a program called VoiceFlow where I could create workflows that have specific actions for an AI agent. I learned a lot on the specifics of different AIs and how some are better at interpreting speech in some languages like Spanish and French. This week felt very successful at my internship since I feel like I am learning a lot more every single day and trying to get the best out of it.
Thursday night we attended the famous Irish House Party where we got a nice dinner and had got to experience a real house party with Irish folk music and dance. After that I explored downtown Dublin with my friends before my internship the next day.
The actual weekend was a lot more chill than most because we did not have a day trip planned for Saturday but it was a very nice day out. Brad, Max, Tennyson, and I decided to take the dart train up to Howth to a nice beach spot to meet up with Rayna, Lucie, and Emilia. The actual spot was quite beautiful since you had to walk down a cliff face on stairs and the beach was made of rocks. We relaxed there for a couple of hours before getting the best fish and chips of the trip so far at Beshoff Bros. We then took the dart back to Blackrock station and the bus back to UCD. On Sunday we actually had a scheduled event where we took a bus north of the river to a field to play some traditional Gaelic games. We played both Gaelic football and hurling, which I was pretty bad at both but my past lacrosse skills helped with hurling. For each game we had drills to help with getting used to the game and then we each played each other in game. After that we headed back to UCD and my week was bascially finished.
We had our final class of the trip on monday which was bittersweet, but I was also ready for the afternoon where we visited Kilmainham Gaol, an abandoned prison. It was very cool to learn about the history behind the prison and see the actual cells that the prisoners were in. This was a great week and I’m really excited as we come closer to the end of the trip and also my free weekend trip.

I had a great time exploring Howth with you and relaxing at the beach for a few hours. Those fish and chips were definitely the best that I’ve ever had! It’s good to see that you’re getting into the flow with your internship.
