This past week was a true combination of Irish adventures. We packed the week with iconic sights. I started the week with a visit to one of Ireland’s most famous landmarks, Blarney Castle on Saturday. While the castle was surrounded by the most beautiful scenery and gardens, the only downside was the line to kiss the Stone wrapped around and would have taken almost two hours. After debating the idea of standing in line for that long of time I opted to enjoy the stunning gardens.
Later in the week, I had what might be one of my favorite experiences yet, swimming at the Forty Foot. The Forty Foot is a swimming spot on the Dublin Bay. The water was freezing, but that didn’t stop us from jumping off the rocks and swimming around. There’s something so refreshing about jumping into the sea. We also walked around a market that was so beautiful and fun and I plan on going back.
We also visited the Guinness Storehouse this week. Even if you’re not a beer drinker, this place is an amazing experience. I found the exhibits so entertaining and interactive. I also enjoyed learning about the ingredients and where they come from. My dad actually told me that there are around 2.2 million Guinness consumed in Ireland in one day.
I rounded out this week by attending the Noah Kahan concert with Kayla. Some boys on the trip also had tickets and we were able to meet up with them. I have been to a lot of concerts in my life but this one was simply the most enjoyable and fun. Not only because he is one of my favorite artists but because I got to go with my best friend.
