I had a great weekend on the West Coast of Ireland. On Friday morning, we got up early and left to go see the Cliffs of Moher. It was gorgeous, and I loved walking alongside the cliffs. After, we kept driving and went to a picture spot on the coast. The water was beautiful. We arrived in Galway and went to the Claddagh store. My roommates and I all got claddagh rings as our souvenirs. Then, we got to our hostel which was not as exciting. We were all tired and hungry and the hostel was hot and filled with flies. We went on a quick trip to get shower shoes and once we were all showered and at dinner we immediately felt much better. I loved walking around Galway, it was bustling with people who were sitting outside, drinking, and chatting. The streets were packed. Saturday morning, we went on a bike tour in Inishmoor. It was beautiful. We saw so many animals: cows, donkeys, horses, and llamas. We even saw seals too! We also stopped at the beach, the water was so clear and blue. We wanted to go for a swim so badly but we didn’t have a change of clothes. After we got back from the bike tour, we changed and got ready for the night. We went to dinner and met up with the other kids in the group. It was so fun. We also saw so many stag and hen parties. I’ve decided that I want to have my bachelorette party in Galway too. On Sunday, I was sad to leave Galway because I wished we had more time there. I liked visiting Kylemore Abbey, the gardens were so pretty. The gift shop was also really cool and had such a variety of fun items. I got a candle and a Cahill coaster. We tried chocolate made by the nuns, which did not live up to the hype. Then, we headed to the boat tour. It was freezing cold so we sat inside for most of it, but it was still nice because we got hot chocolates. Finally, we headed on our four hour trip home. We were all pretty exhausted at this point, but finally we made it home. We showered, made pasta, worked on our paper drafts for Monday, and reflected on our fun times in Galway! I can’t wait to go back.
