I feel like this week flew by so fast. Our three day trip to Galway was jam packed with so much to do and I honestly don’t know where to start. Waking up for the ride to Galway was definitely rough, but to be honest I slept for most of the ride. When I woke up for our halfway stop I was definitely not expecting to be at the Barack Obama Plaza. Once we got to the Cliffs of Moher I was awestruck. I would have spent the whole day just looking over the cliffs if we could. I sent a picture to my older sister and she told me the wall barrier wasn’t there when she went 8 years ago, so I’m wondering what happened to cause them to add it. Galway itself had a whole different vibe than Dublin. I thought it was cute and felt that it had a younger scene there compared to Dublin. I would have loved to stay there for a whole week and explore more of the city. I think my favorite part of this trip had to have been Aran Islands. I took the bus tour and our tour guide was the best. He told us the origin of some of the houses and explained why some had a small house in their front yard. It’s for the leprechauns to stay in and suppose to bring good luck to your family. There were so many unique houses on the island which were gorgeous! I learned that there are 14 villages on the island and each year they all do a bonfire competition to see which village could make the biggest one. On our way back to Dublin from Galway, the view from the bus window was gorgeous. I also liked how we stopped to feed the sheep for a bit. The babies were so cute. I really enjoyed our stop at Kylemore Abbey too. I was a bit disappointed with the church because half of it was under construction so it wasn’t the most aesthetic thing, but the castle made up for it. The garden had to have been my favorite part though. I loved the whole set up. They had so much variety in the different sections which was cool because I didn’t even know half of these plants existed. I was so tired after this 3 dat trip, but I would do it again if I could. Since we arrived back I started exploring Dublin much more. I found this really good matcha place which has the best matcha I’ve had so far here. It’s called The Matcha Bar and I HIGHLY recommend it to any matcha lover. It’s in the Powerscourt Townhouse Centre on the third floor and the whole building complex itself is so nice inside. I also saw a little piercing place and decided to pop in and get a double helix piercing too. I also made friends with a girl from from UC Davis so now we go out for lunch everyday.
