I can’t believe this is my last blog post! I’m so sad to be leaving Dublin in just three days, it really flew by. On Thursday, me, Kiki, Emilia, Zoe, and Rayna flew to Portugal for our free weekend. We stayed in Tavira, and it was amazing! We had the best time ever laying out on the beach, tanning, swimming, and exploring the town. It felt so good to get out of the city and enjoy the warm weather. On Saturday, we drove to Albufeira to check out the caves. It was about a fifty minute car ride, but totally worth it. The beaches were beautiful but the town was definitely crowded and touristy, so we were glad we opted for Tavira which is just as beautiful but more laid back. On Sunday night, we went to a sushi restaurant. We were confused as to why there were no prices on the menu, only to find out after sitting there for an hour that it was actually all you can eat for only 19 euros per person! We went crazy ordering and left really full. No food went to waste. We were so sad to leave on Monday, and even more sad once we had to experience a layover in Liverpool. We left for the airport at noon and didn’t get back to UCD until around midnight. Our flight in Liverpool kept getting delayed and it was so frustrating, especially since the flight was only about 30 minutes! Oh well, at least we saved some money not paying for a direct flight. Coming back to Dublin, we were all a little bummed upon the realization it was almost over and that we had to focus this week and finish up our work. Reflecting on my time in Dublin, I’ve had the best time living here for eight weeks. It made me realize how much I love living in a city. It’s been so fun to explore, with so many new things to do and see every day. I’m also going to really miss the people. I’ve loved getting so close with everyone over the course of this program, and we’ve made so many amazing memories. It’ll definitely be a sad goodbye Saturday morning. However, I am excited to go home and see my family and my friends. Although it’s hard to leave, I’m comforted by the fact that back at Bucknell I will see everyone again! I will always remember our fun times together in the amazing city of Dublin and hold this experience close to my heart.

I loved spending this summer with you, Lucie! So excited to continue our friendship this year at Bucknell!
Lucie, it’s been such a wonderful time getting to know you so well over the course of this trip. You were really the biggest light and made me feel so at home throughout these eight weeks. You’re so awesome and I can’t wait to see what silly shenanigans you get up to when we’re back in Lewisburg! I hope your trip to Greece next week is awesome (please make a Greece blog so I can keep up with u!) I hope we get the chance to travel together again some day!
I will miss your blogs! It feels like you are actually talking to me when I read them. Please give me text updates like these when we are no longer roommates:(((( It was lovely to spend the weekend with you in Portugal!
