It’s hard for me to think about the fact that we only have one week left here. Seven weeks ago I arrived in a foreign country with no idea what I was doing, yet now Dublin feels like home. Time really does fly when you’re having fun! My friends and I have definitely been making the most of the little time we have left, so around our busy work schedules, we are constantly exploring downtown, trying new restaurants, and enjoying the pubs. While I am thoroughly exhausted, there is nothing else I would rather be doing. I still feel like there is so much to look forward to in the week ahead!
On Saturday we had the Celtic Boyne Valley Tour during which we stopped and explored the Hill of Tara, the Trim Castle, the Loughcrew Passage Tomb, and the Hill of Uisneach. The guided tours were super interesting and I really enjoyed learning more about Ireland’s history. My favorite stop was definitely the Loughcrew Passage Tomb. Although it was a long, steep walk to the top, the views were absolutely incredible and I loved exploring the area.
On Monday we went to Howth for the day which was very exciting for me because I had not been there before. Unfortunately it was raining when we woke up, but that didn’t stop us from doing the walking tour of the island. We grabbed an early bus and took the dart which was relatively quick and scenic. We began our walking tour in the rain, which I didn’t mind at all, except my white hokas quickly got covered in mud. I also didn’t realize that this walk would consist of hiking through plants and prickly bushes, which I was not prepared for when choosing to wear a skirt. Although my legs are now covered in scratches, it all added to the experience and was part of the fun. We eventually made it to the coastline and the views from the top of the cliffs were stunning. It was refreshing to walk alongside the ocean for a few miles before returning to the town where we enjoyed a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. I ordered fish and chips which were definitely the best I have ever had. Although the conditions weren’t ideal, everyone made the most of this experience and it is definitely a day I will never forget!

The views were incredible in these locations; nothing quite like it! Also, YUM! The food you got this weekend looks delicious and I am so glad you got to try some of it outside Dublin!
