This week began for me as I said goodbye to my parents and sister. They came to Dublin to visit me and had been exploring all around Ireland. We went to dinner at Layla’s Rooftop where I had a delicious dinner and said see you in three weeks to my family!
The next day I met up with Kayla’s family at Johnnie Fox’s. If you’ve never been, it’s a old-school pub up in the mountains (highest elevated pub in Ireland) with live music, delicious food, and a very traditional and cozy atmosphere. It was great to be able to see Kayla’s family and fill them in on all the fun things we have been up to. Since they are from Ireland, they were able to give us some recommendations of places to go and things to do and made the last couple of weeks of our trip feel so homey.
This weekend Me and Kayla walked Dún Laoghaire and explored around. We sat by the water and enjoyed the most beautiful views. We tried some coffee from a recommended coffee shop, and it did not disappoint. We walked around the black rock market and enjoyed our moments of relaxation.
Even though it’s been a laid-back week, I’ve been very busy at work as all the kids will be graduating from the school on Friday. Even though this seems so small and it’s only a preschool graduation, after working with these kids all summer, I am heartbroken to have to say goodbye. That is the worst part of being a teacher. The kids have prepared songs and speeches and made gifts for their parents. It will be a very special day, and i’m so lucky I will be there to witness it.

I love your shirt for graduation, Molly! Hearing how you have formed such a great relationship with the students is precious. I am sure they are just as happy to have you in attendance!
