This past week in Dublin has flown by. I turned in my first project for my internship, visited Blarney Castle, and the Guinness factory. After spending the previous two weeks working on my project, I was ready to hand it in and learn what I would be working on next. After handing it in on Friday, I was more than ready for the weekend and the trips ahead of me. Waking up early on Saturday morning, I got on the bus ready for a day of castles and more. The tours of the castles were great as I was able to learn about the diverse history of Ireland and what powerful families once lived in these great castles. The Blarney Castle was my favorite, as I was able to get some great pictures. The gardens around Blarney Castle were my personal favorites, as there were also horses around that you could pet. On the bus ride back, Price and I were constantly checking the time as we learned we would be able to make it back in time for the Backseat Lovers concert. After quickly getting ready, we hopped in an Uber to the concert. The concert was at the National Stadium in Dublin, a rather small venue, which made it all the better. My new favorite experience was the concert, as the Backseat Lovers are just such a great band, and the small venue made it feel as if you were standing right next to them while they played. After the concert, Price and I went out for a night in Dublin, getting some really good hot dogs in the city. On Sunday, we all had a very lazy day after the long and tiresome weekend we had. After getting some groceries, it was time for bed, as tomorrow we would be visiting the Guinness Storehouse. Once done with class on Monday, we all took the bus to our tour of the Guinness Storehouse. I was shocked at how much detail and effort go into making the perfect pint at the storehouse. The tour of the storehouse was super detailed and honestly very funny to learn about how Guinness has been tweaked to perfection throughout the years. After the tour, we all enjoyed the perfect pint at the top of the storehouse. With another busy week of work ahead of me, I am looking forward to the weekend very much. I am more than excited to visit Derry and Belfast.
